Mobility Innovation Workshop has been jointly organized by the Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan since FY2023, building on the SIP-adus Workshop, which was conducted under the Cabinet Office's Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) - Phase 1 "Automated Driving Systems" and Phase 2 "Automated Driving for Universal Services"-.
We bring together related international conferences and technical tours held during the same week under the umbrella of “Mobility Innovation Week Japan.”
Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2025 was held including workshops focusing on mobility innovations, such as automated driving technologies, Japanese pilot test-site visits, etc. The event also provided opportunities for in-depth discussions among participants. A total of 156 participants, including 65 international attendees, took part in the program. Participants shared the latest initiatives and experiences regarding automated driving and other emerging mobility technologies, exchanged views from technological, institutional, and societal perspectives, and explored opportunities for future international collaboration.
The 4th Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2026 is scheduled to take place in the Sapporo area during the week of November 9, 2026, in conjunction with the 24th ITS Symposium 2026, organized by ITS Japan on November 12–13, 2026.
Further details, including the program and registration fees, will be announced on this website as they become available.
