Mobility Innovation Week Japan has been held annually since FY2023, co-organized by the Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and ITS Japan, building on the SIP-adus Workshop under the Cabinet Office’s the Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) - Phase I: “Automated Driving Systems" and Phase II: ”Automated Driving for Universal Services" -.
Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2024 was held including workshops regarding future mobility innovation (e.g., automated driving), Japanese pilot test-site visits, etc. Total of 177 participants, including 48 from overseas, shared approaches, discussed technical, institutional, and social issues, and explored opportunities for international collaboration.
The third edition of Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2025, held under the theme “Co-creating Life-centric Mobility for Tomorrow,” aims to explore the impacts of technological innovation on people’s lives and ecosystems.
Compared to last year, the key change is that the Plenary Session will be expanded to two full days, providing richer and more comprehensive input. In addition to interactive Breakout Workshops on mobility innovation, the program will also include “CAMP.”
